School Photos - Bike Rodeo
Carrillo students in 4th and 5th grade had an exciting day at the Bike Rodeo, an event sponsored by the Pima County Health Department. The kids had the chance to learn how to ride bikes, practice their skills and safety, and receive a free bike helmet, along with goodies like comic books, pencils, and stickers.

School Photos - PAW Patrol Visit
On January 17, students were treated to something really special. Some friends from PAW Patrol Live, who were in town for a couple of shows at the Tucson Music Center over the weekend, stopped by Carrillo to interact with the students. A member of the show read a book to students, while Ryder played a game with them and Skye surprised them with a quick fly-by for meet and greet photos!

School Photos - Las Posadas
Carrillo hosted our Las Posadas event on December 13th. This annual tradition has been celebrated at our school since 1937. The event included a procession through the historic Barrio Viejo neighborhood, with students and community members singing traditional songs together. The evening also featured performances by students from Tucson High and Holladay, adding to the festive atmosphere. Families in attendance were also able to enjoy a delicious warm meal together. Way to go staff, students, and volunteers for another amazing Las Posadas.

School Photos - Fire Station Field Trip
Carrillo’s Kindergarten classes learned about communities and the different jobs that are a part of it. To finish up the unit, they visited a Tucson Fire Department station.

Carrillo families had a blast meeting their new teachers and exploring the newly revamped library! Shoutout to Sylvia Morales, who worked tirelessly all summer to transform the library into a bright, comfy space for students!
