Kirstin Bittel is a Tucson native and TUSD alum. After graduating from the University of Arizona, she began working for TUSD. Since 1998, she has served as an elementary teacher, science teacher, district science specialist, magnet coordinator, Title I coordinator, and assistant principal and has been the proud principal of Carrillo K-5 Communications and Creative Arts Magnet since 2021. She is an advocate for magnet schools, inclusivity, and excellence for all students.
